Classless Bantor

I know its been a minute since i last posted on here.. (2 days lmao) but i just wanted to get a few things off of my chest.Im in between classes killing time until i have to go to that horrid class that makes me want to knaw unforgivingly at my beloved nails!!! First off I hope this page gets as big as I'm hoping.. I just cant seem to figure out which channels i need to go threw or what i need to do to get it seen by other people (besides just me).
Is it wrong to ask other gurus for help and guidance? i just need a blogger godmother lol! until i build up the kahunas (sp?) to start my page on YT.

Welp that's all for now.. Ill have some free time next weekend and ill post all of the recipes that Ive been talking about

More RRRanting

Welp no major feats accomplished today in the nail or make-up region. however!!!! I did get to create some awesomeness in my room today!
Sidenote: You know all of the SEASONAL and awesome displays you see when your shopping during the holidays???... wanna know something? it all gets thrown away!!!
So with that said while i was cleaning up the back room today (at work)i happened to see our decorative boxes from this holiday season. Ive been trying to figure out a way i could get all of my crap off of the floor and into some kind of dresser (for cheap) and those boxes were perfect! i lugged all 10 pounds of them on the train today and brought them home with me and created some magic!! I CAN SEE MY FLOORR *cues angelic singing* i still want to paint them and jazz up my room a bit so i wont show pics just yet but i will be posting them when completed! welp thats all for now ttyl! much love VaL

Nail Biting Success!!!

I made it through day one of my NO NAIL BITING strategy! I decided late last year/ earlier this year that I truly wanted to grow out my nails and stop biting them!!! here i am on the eve of my 23rd birthday and I'm just now discovery how to stop biting my nails (go figure). Since my toes have been such a success with all of the extra care i figured i should go on and move up to my hands and start taking better care of them as well. I'm not big on the whole acrylic nail thing like I used to be because ... well....being a poor college student I couldn't really afford the maintenance. so i rediscovered press on nails and i started doing those!! and if i must say so myself I'm pretty great at it! if i can find pics for you guys ill post them at a later date!
Any who back to today's nail greatness! Since its Tuesday i have all of my classes back to back from 8 to 3 (ugh). my first 3 are OK but my last two... seem like they're going to be complete lecture classes...-______-.... and so the temptation begins! normally to keep from falling asleep in class i bite my nails. that way i can still look like I'm focusing on the teacher when really ... I'm lost in my mind somewhere! (keep in mind that these are web-enhanced lecture classes so all of the notes are posted online) I whipped out my wonderful Shea butter mix that i put in a purse friendly container and went to work on my cuticles in class today lol! i know i probably looked deranged but and least i wasn't satisfying my appetite for nails! I'm so excited! normally i break the first day and tell myself i can always start again tomorrow! i may be on to something here!!!


(second week natural nails 1st day no nail biting, sorry about the lighting it will get better promise!)


Vz tips for stopping nail biting:

- try to recognise what makes you desire biting your nails the most (almost like giving yourself a reality check)

- once your in a nail biting frenzy try to find something you can do that may :
a. aid in the growth of your nails
b. occupy your hands long enough for the desire to pass

- POLISH YOUR NAILS!!! i know it sounds cliche but i cant say it enough (tell myself enough) POLISH POLISH POLISH!!!
--- some sites say "if you polish your nails your less likely to bite them because you wont want to mess up your awesome manicure!!" i say "PLEASE" *rolls eyes* any serious nail biter knows that whether it is polish, acrylic, gel, or even those horrible tasting anti-biting polishes, if you want to bite your nails YOU WILL BITE THEM!!
----for me color is my weakness, being able to put those gorgeous splashes of pink or red or blue on my nails and catch a glimpse of them as i go about my day excites me! Deciding which color to put on my nails next is euphoric! And honestly i want to grow the nails naturally, that i always placed on my hands anyway...

- i guess the moral of this rant is to decide for you, find your niche and run with it, whether it be growing long nails so you can do a billion designs or simply so you can prove to yourself you have the willpower to stick it out and break such a tiny habit! whatever it is let it come from within and the results will be apparent outwardly!!

Nail Craze ... and ma NEW DAWGS!!

Well I'm on another beginning of the year .. binge. I'm truly obsessed with finding new and wonderful creative outlets for myself and I really don't think i will ever be able to stop. I have come to realize that their are two obsessions of mine that have never left my side and have always kept my blood boiling with excitement!! That is my makeup and my nails!!! I have become better with my overall makeup techniques however i am no pro! i just know my face! (its a love hate relationship honestly). My nails on the other hand I'm just now discovering. take my feet for example.. this time last year my heels were making that awful scratching noise EVERY TIME i tried to get cozy under my covers. talk about embarrassing... I finally got sick of my scaly feet one day on the bus. I couldn't help but GAWK in horror at this elderly woman's feet! they were an... ATROCITY! later that evening while recapping the evenings horrible events with my mother she then told me that on a woman the first two places to look to truly see a woman's age is at her hands and at her feet. WELL, (i thought to myself) I JUST CANT BE DOOMED TO GO DOWN A ROAD FILLED WITH CLAWS AND TALONS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!! so i decided to help my aching dawgs. during this time i had also been researching natural moisturizers and Shea butter. I started off just using EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) and i would just rub it into my soles whenever i got out of the shower and made sure i put on socks. slowly but surely i started to see a change. ill spare you the gruesome details of how the dead skin started peeling off and just say i was simply amazed at the progress!. Well needless to say there-in spawned another obsession (MY FEET) i started to look into pedicures and ways to get my feet to be soft like a ladies should be ;). I haven't perfected my routine yet but I can definitely say with the help of some heavenly whipped Shea butter and some awesome socks!... my girls... look like girls again! lol well that's enough ranting for today I think I'm going to post my Shea butter recipes sooon and my pedicure routine as well... hopefully i can stick with this guys and keep up the posts! bare with me! much love VAl
